RE: [A-110] Questions about the circuit board
I believe 2 is the 2 3.3V I/O level UART headers with only 1 stuffed. 1 is the same connector they label 'LCD' on the B-110. I haven't traced the connectors yet, but I suspect it's going to the lower bank of gpios on the man ball. No clue on 3. HDD LED perhaps?

Hmm, lcd display, that will be the solution for my feature request. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...7#pid77987 Now we just want to know the pin-out description, or is that a secret? RE: [A-110] Questions about the circuit board
The 5V/12V jumper is a voltage selector for the fan connector next to it (the small 3 pin connector below the battery).

RE: [A-110] Questions about the circuit board
I'd love to know what the ribbon cable connector is for as well (Number 1 in the picture). I know that in the outline of number 2, the bottom half, the middle pins can be jumped to force a firmware recovery. I have no idea what jumping any of the other sets of pins will do. When I looked at this arrangement it looked like what you plug USB ports in to on a PC motherboard. Like if you've got some front USB ports on your PC case. They aren't marked at all like that at all (+5v, USB1, USB2, etc) but I think on standard USB pins they've got one of the pins blocked out, so you end up with one row of 5 and one row of 4 (like the squared off pin on the unsoldiered portion above the 2 5 pin rows).
I think it'd take someone from Syabas to explain what all could be done with the various ports. I'm fairly certain (maybe the ribbon connector port) that one of these can be used to do a low level reflash of the firmware. I have no idea what the #3 pins could be. I'd have to guess they're a fan output, or some sort of override, but I really have no idea. |

RE: [A-110] Questions about the circuit board
Hi,
Has anyone asked about integrating these ? http://www.samsung.com/us/function/searc...lt=Y&pg=0# It is a photoframe that can be used as a display trough USB port. RE: [A-110] Questions about the circuit board
The item marked 1 is as you have surmised an LCD display port.
There was quite a bit of discussion on this as the B110 has one and if you are buying a case for the B110 how do you buy one without knowing if you can use the LCD port or not, or how many lines/characters it will support. Apart from confirming that it is a LCD port Syabas wont comment further as its part of future plans that they dont want competitors to be aware of at the moment. the discussion on it is in a B110 thread in this section, search for it. There's also a basic .pdf disgram of the B110 mobo with port descriptions, this may help with other ports/queries as although not the same they are v.similar to the A110. There is still 5 pins I haven't nailed down. And nothing so far is tied to an irq. Anyone recognize the connector form factor? |
