HTML5 video.
Please fix this a.s.a.p. with a new firmware. Never thought a new generation chip and software would result in a downgrade like this.

Hi all,

I know, typical newbie questions that have been answered 1,000 times and if I'd only tried the wiki or search...

Still, in spite of that, you seem like a friendly bunch with a healthy active community which is what appeals to me having not yet committed to the NMT yet.

I'm in the market for a new player to replace my ageing Xbox XBMC setup, which was great but cannot support the 720p files I wish to play anymore.

What I would like is :
1. Ability to play SD and 720p files with ease. No special audio requirements, just good video playback.
2. I also wish to use an internal 3.5" SATA drive as I have one spare.
3. The NMT must be able to serve media via SAMBA to another player I have on the network.
4. It must have USB ports and a file manager enabling me to copy files to and from attached USB drives.
5. I would like a decent media scraper/jukebox facility to automatically fetch media info.
6. Sickbeard and nzb support straight to the internal HDD would be fantastic.

Well I found the C-200 and I believe it ticks all the boxes for me!

My biggest query is the SAMBA sharing of media on the internal drive.
I don't have, nor do I intend to implement, a dedicated NAS. Instead I would like the NMT to allow the playback of media from other network attached devices, ultimately a Raspberry Pi running XBMC.
As I have a reasonable 'N' network I expect the C-200 would support this?
Reading numerous posts and the wiki page it seems many of you don't use this feature so I'm wondering why? Is it purely the speed, or lack of, that you don't like?
Also, when would the drive be available given the two states of standby (I've read the C-200 doesn't support WOL), and I assume you can play media on the PCH whilst another device is streaming a different file?
This seems like such a nifty feature yet you all have NAS drives!

My other query is over the scraping/jukebox. Having used XBMC for so long, all this talk of NMJ, NMJv2, YAMJ, Oversight etc is confusing.
Is there any automated method of getting info for media as soon as it arrives courtesy of sickbeard and NZBGet? I don't want to have to use a PC to obtain, manage and sort this.
The method of using NMJ outlined here seems exactly what I'd use.

Thank you for all of your help in advance.

I have it connected through optical cabe with my receiver.

Of course, I have the same settings as before (when everything worked fine), while I have also checked that the receiver and the cable work ok.
In addition, I also don't get sound from the tv, through the hdmi cable

It is a hardware problem? Should I return it back for replacement?

Hello, I have my entire DVD collection ripped to ISO's. I do not want or need any of the menus. So I have used DVD Fab with the "main menu" setting. Anyway, My problem is that when I play an ISO from YAMJ the video and audio start skipping uncontrollably. It usually starts after about 30 seconds or so. The reason I am posting in the YAMJ section, is that the ISO's seem to play just fine through my A-300's main network browser. I am thinking that since Mediainfo cannot process ISO's properly, this might be my problem. YAMJ thinks that some of my DVD's are 29.97 framerate, and others are 23.976. I would think any NTSC DVD should be detected at 29.97 correct? Would wrong Mediainfo detection actually effect playback? I could always change the container to MKV if that would fix it, but then I would lose subtitles. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I have just recently ugraded from C200 to an A300.

Used to have Oversight on my C200, I am trying to get used to the NMJ that runs on the A300.

One major downside of NMJ vs. Oversight so far is that it seems not to be able to auto-scan folders for new files.
If you add new files to your library, you must manually hit the update button, in order for NMJ to find the new video and then search for the metada.

Besides, NMJ lead time to fetch metadata is surprisingly long, leading to a frustrating experience after you add a new video file to your library.

Does anyone know of a way to set auto-scans on the A300 NMJ?

Is there a better alternative to the built in NMJ that comes with the A300?

Thanks

I watched Band Of Brothers over a year ago which is on my internal HDD which I ripped myself with no issues. Just tried watching again and the C200 is struggling to play. Two episodes now have got stuck. First time it happened, I rebooted and started again but it got stuck at the exact same point in the video which is what happened on another episode. This would normally suggest it's the file but like I said, it played fine before and I do seem to have issues whenever I play full Blu Ray rips, I've had the sound dropping in and out before.

I was so frustrated and just wanted to watch BOB I decided to remove the HDD and replace it with my Blu Ray drive. That has in turn seems to caused the PSU to die for some reason (but that's another thread).

So why am I struggling with Blu Rays rips? I was wondering if maybe it was an issue with the PSU but surely it wouldn't stop at the exact same place in the video each time. Is there another way to rip Blu Rays? To a different format?

Looking for some guidance. I was operating an A200 on my network accessing NFS shares located on Windows Home Server 2011. All worked with out issue. Decided to upgrade to the A300. I configured the device identical to the A200 and now when I attempt to access the files from the A300 I'm prompted for a signon and password. Tried different configurations, installed the NMT apps, etc.... No luck. I put the A200 back on line and can access the shares without problem (no signon/password required). I did notice one difference, when I put the A200 online the device is displayed in the browser under Media Players. However, the A300 is not recognized as a Media Player on the network. I believe because the A300 is not recognized as a media player on the network I can't provide the NFS share the access permissions to the device, as such without the permissions I'm prompted for signon/password. How do I get the A300 to display as a media player on the network? Thanks

Hi guys. I just swapped my internal HDD for my Blu array Drive as I was trying to play Band Of Brothers and it kept getting stuck even though it played fine last time I watched it over a year ago. In fact my C200 constantly seems to struggle playing Blu Ray rips on the internal HDD.

Well I just turned it back on and it's seems to be buggered. The power light flashes between red and white and makes a clicking sound too. I read that it may be the PSU but all I did was change the drive, surely that won't have broken the PSU.

I basically did a straight swap, removed the HDD and plugged the same cables in the Blu Ray drive. Am I missing something or is it broken?

Hi All,

Which skin I can use to have banners for tv series? I am trying to use Aeon but index page comes up as normal thumbnails (27 per page) and not with banners. When I enter on of the series then I can see banners, but I would like to have banners in the index page as well.... Any thoughts?

my settings in skin.properties:
# 12 BANNERS - works *only* for '12' for "tv-banners" and "tv-banners-set" in skin-options.xsl
banners.width=587
banners.height=108
mjb.nbTvThumbnailsPerPage=12

and then in skin-option.xsl:
<xsl:variable name="roundedcorners">awesome</xsl:variable>

<xsl:variable name="tv-banners">12</xsl:variable>

<xsl:variable name="tv-banners-set">12</xsl:variable>

<xsl:variable name="tv-banners-file">true</xsl:variable>

Is there anything else I need....?
Thanks

My C200 performed flawlessly for first year, last six months it has gradually been going downhill. Started by freezing up at the end of whatever I had been viewing, usually the during the last one to three minutes of play. Happened on various types of AVI, MKV, etc. seemed to make no difference. Now in the last month or so when it freezes up when I do a forced restart instead of normal startup the power button flashes between orange and white with the flashes being of equal duration in the beginning and then gradually the white flash gets longer and the orange flash duration becomes shorter until eventually it goes all white and then boots normally and runs for a week or more before repeating the process. I have two other A110 units on my network and they both work fine so I know the problem is limited to the C200 and nothing on my network. I run my nmt applications from internal USB thumb drive and currently there is no internal HD.

Not sure if I need to troubleshoot software or hardware and guidance from more experienced will be appreciated.

Is the 3pg file (MPEG-4 Part 2) the same as MPEG-4.2 ASP listed on the A-300 spec sheet?

Hello,

I am trying to exclude with regex as the title suggests. For example,

<exclude name=" REGEX ">

I am unable to get this working. The YAMJ wiki states its working, but doesn't really say how. Are there any special delimiters you should use to differentiate from normal exclusions? Simple things seem to work, but when I use the negotiation sign ^, ends the string with #i and such it fails. It is also a bit unclear to me if I am to use \\ or single \ for special characters. Finally, the regex is matched against the full path and filename right?

If someone knows these things, I would appreciate some clarification. My main goal is to exclude all files not ending ".rar".

Thanks
