I am pretty new to this so please forgive....I have 4 MKV files that play fine on my PC. I they are in a folder which is shared via smb with the nmt. I can play the other format files but when I browse to the folder containing the mKV files it says there is no video content.

I copied the mkvs to the hard disk on the NMT and placed them directly into the viseo folder but I have exactly the same problem. Am I missing something reallt obvious here ?

Hi,
I got the new PCH A110 2 days back & got a WDEACS 1TB too. When I ran the setup wizard, the hard disk has been detected. Then I looks for USB/Internet for the application to install, I have downloaded the latest firmware from popcornhour website and extracted on a pen drive. The PCH recognizes the pen drive and within 1-2 mins the PCH says 'Format failed, may be a bad disk'. When I connected the PCH to my laptop, I can able to find 3 partitions. In first one I can able to find 'lost+found' and the 2nd & 3rd are not formatted. Is it OK to format from laptop and use it in PCH?. since no applications/servers installed in partition, is it possible to install those applications in future without reformat the whole hard disk?.

Sorry for the bit long question...

Now it has started to turn itself off (into standby, red light) after about 1 hour of moviewatching. It has done this twice this evening. Will only start again if shut off and one with switch on the player. After the first occasion all the setting was lost and the menus were in chinese. Nice.
I have an internal hdd installed, samsung spinpoint 1tb.
Anyone have a clue to whats wrong? Overheated after such a short time?

I just purchased a pch a-110, with a 500gb internal hard drive. I changed the pch original theme and also installed "my lil movie jukebox" everything works great with my lil movie....BUT, when I turn on the popcorn and select "hard disk" go directly to "my lil movie", so I have no access to my other files, "tv series", Tv Show, Music, photos, etc.
PLEASE HELP !!
Perhaps, I did something wrong..........
I was wondering if there is a way that I can access pch main menu, so I can view my "photo, music, Browser and other files, like if "my lil movie" was not installed.......and run "my lil jukebox" just when I enter to the video\movie, folder.....
thanks for your support !!!!!

Any Ideas why this happened? Could It be because I have plugged in a 5.1 sound system and not a 7.1 so the two other speaker missing are the voice one?
I really don`t know if I`m explaining right, so…
Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
not sure this is feasible, but I'd would like an option for outputting multichannel AAC, FLAC, OGG, etc. to Dolby-Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1 instead of stereo-PCM at the S/PDIF output. This would allow elder amplifier to play surround movies/music using latest codec.
Thanks,

Hello all,

have a PCH A-110(newest FW ). I have problems connecting to my PCH via SMB and FTP. I can access from both, but when i start transfering data to my internal HDD of the PCH via SMB the transfer stops everytime with a error message "network path is no longer avaiable". The same problem with FTP. I can connect to the PCH but when i start transfering data the connection disconnects at about 30% with the message "transfer failed". It doesn't matter how often i trie or which file i transfer, always same error message... Does anybody have the same problem or does know a solution for my problem.
Short description: PCH is connected over ethernet with a router where my pc is also connected to.

Thanks

Hi'

I am running A-100 (newest software), Dlink 524 via cable to my a-100
on a XP pc...
The problem is that it takes forever to login to my A-100 from my box
(sometimes 1-2hour after many errors.. (no connection)
if i try to ping the a-100, it seemes okay.
But then IF i am lucky to get though from my PC, then i add the share to my
"Z: drive" and i can use it untill i turn off XP and then i have to start all over again to try to access the a-100.
So does anyone know what i am missing here ?
What setup do you have to have it remember the Z: map on a XP HOME
after a reboot ?
