NMT

NMT is an abbreviation, short for Networked Media Tank, Syabas' trademarked platform. This is a common term used for all units that run on a media platform solution made by Syabas.

Syabas' Popcorn Hour A-100 was the first NMT and was improved upon with the release of the A110. There were other OEM suppliers, each adding its own particular features, to the 100 series NMT's. All 100 series NMT's run the Sigma 8635 chip.

The 200 series NMT using the Sigma 8643 chip is the current version. The only NMT's running the 8643 chip are from PopcornHour and include the A-200, A-210, and C-200.

The common denominator of all of them is the use of Syabas' middleware, also named NMT. You can read more about NMT on the Syabas page.
