The following information may be useful for anyone developing applications for the NMT platform.

The NMT stores the current TV Mode internally in a flash variable 'video_output'.

This appears in the /tmp/setting.txt file. And on some firmwares , is also duplicated in a file called /tmp/tvmode.

The following table list the value of /tmp/tvmode for various TV modes.

These values were observed whilst connected to a CRT TV via component. It is possible that the HDMI handshake may influence this.

Some values were observed by after pressing 'TV Mode' + digit button on the remote. Others were set using the AV Setup screen.

On Popcorn firmware the file /tmp/tvname contains the name of the TV Mode. However this is not set on all NMT firmwares.
