Have you just laid your hands on a Networked Media Tank?
For many new users the world of digital media is a real challenge. Gone are the days when one simply inserted a disc and pressed play to watch a movie. Why does it have to be so hard? Why doesn't it work? And then there is all the new terminologies and abbreviations to be learned; container, codec, transport stream, NFS and resolution - just to mention a few.
Don't panic! Investing a little time in research will save you a lot of frustration.
On this Wiki, as well as on the NMT forum a lot of things are explained through tutorials and FAQ's and friendly advice.
The NMT devices are shipped with a brief Quick Start Guide, it will help you through the most basic setup. But for some the first challenge starts already when connecting the cables.
Here are some good starting points:
- Your first point of call should be the Installation Category of the WIKI. Have a good read of the articles written by fellow owners.
- The Wiki general Troubleshooting article.
- The Popcorn Hour official support page - containing informative support articles.
- The NMT forum and in particular the A100/110 Section and C200 Installation Section.
